Meet your Fruta Madre
Hi, I'm Monique. I sell houses & commit pun crimes.
Fifteen years, hundreds of happy moves, one unshakable belief: real estate should feel exciting, not exhausting.

The story (the juicy version)
Fifteen years ago I sold my first house in Ventura County — a little bungalow with a stubborn escrow and a lemon tree in the backyard. I was hooked. Not on the paperwork (nobody's hooked on the paperwork), but on the moment people step into the right house and their shoulders drop an inch. I've been chasing that moment ever since, from Santa Barbara's red-tile hills to Malibu's mile markers.
Why Fruta Madre? Because this coast literally grew on fruit — Ventura's lemon empires, Oxnard's strawberry fields, Ojai's one-of-a-kind Pixie tangerines, Carpinteria's avocado festival. "Fruta madre" is the mother fruit: the tree the whole orchard grows from. That's what a home is. (Also, said with the right enthusiasm, it's what you exclaim when your offer gets accepted.)
What you get with me is simple: an agent who answers her own phone, negotiates hard, and treats your money like it's hers. What you also get, fair warning, is a steady supply of fruit puns. I've been told they grow on you.
How I work
Fresh principles, no bruises.
When life gives you lemons…
…I renegotiate. Every transaction hits a snag or two. My job is making sure yours barely notices — 15 years of contracts, counteroffers, and calm mean nothing surprises me anymore.
No half-ripe advice.
If waiting six months will make you more money, I'll say so — even when it costs me a commission. Clients come back (and send their friends) because the advice is always fully ripe.
Local to the seeds.
The 805 isn't my territory, it's my home. School pickup lines, farmers-market gossip, which streets flood in January — I know this corridor the way you only can by living it.
Details on top.
Professional photos, punchy listings, pre-inspections, spotless paperwork. The little things are the big things — every deal gets the cherry on top.
Let's get acquainted.
Fifteen minutes on the phone beats fifteen tabs of Zillow. Call or text — I answer.
